POLITIČKE PARTIJE I EVROPSKI IZBORI

Sažetak

Cilj ovog rada je da analizira osnovne teorijske pravce i reforme, kao i odnos transnacionalnih političkih grupacija prema evropskim izborima. Razvoj izbornog zakonodavstva EU nije tekao uporedo sa institucionalnim i političkim promenama. Pitanje evropskih izbora, putem kojih se vrši izbor članova jedinog demokratski legitimnog organa Unije, u direktnoj je vezi sa gubitkom javnog poverenja u Evropski Parlament. Demokratski deficit EU posledica je nedovoljno definisanih međuinstitucionalnih odnosa i nemogućnosti EP da samostalno kreira zakonodavstvo. Prenosom većeg broja nadležnosti na EP i unifikovanim izbornim sistemom došlo bi do smanjivanja jaza između političke elite Unije i njenih građana, uz jačanje evropske svesti i identiteta.
