,,EVROPEIZACIJA” KOLEKTIVNOG SEĆANJA: SEĆANJE NA DRUGI SVETSKI RAT U PROŠIRENOJ EVROPSKOJ UNIJI

Sažetak

Iako se proces izgradnje kolektivnih sećanja najčešće smešta u okvire domaćih ,,arena sećanja”, najdinamičnija prepakivanja istorijskih narativa u protekloj deceniji se nisu odvijala unutar državnih granica, već na nivou politike sećanja Evropske unije (EU). Daleko najvažniju, pa i paradigmatsku promenu u politici sećanja EU predstavlja rastuća institucionalizacija i promocija tzv. politike antitoalitarizma, zasnovane na povlačenju svojevrsnog znaka jednakosti između nacističkih, fašističkih i komunističkih zločina. Cilj ovog rada je da ukaže na ovu promenu, te da istraži inicijalne posledice ovakve ,,evropeizacije” kolektivnih sećanja država članica vezanih za Drugi svetski rat i totalitarizme koji su obeležili ratni i posleratni period. Osnovna teza ovog rada je da težnja ka izgradnji panevropskog istorijskog narativa o Drugom svetskom ratu nije samo neodrživa, već i potencijalno opasna. Da bi postala univerzalna i bila usvojena, norma antitotalitarizma je morala da bude ,,denacionalizovana” i očišćena od partikularnih istorijskih konteksta. Sa druge strane, da bi bila primenjena u svakom pojedinačnom društvu, ona mora da bude iznova rekontekstualizovana. Upravo vakuum koji nastaje ovakvom dekontekstualizacijom i rekontekstualizacijom kolektivnih sećanja otvara prostor za zloupotrebu evropske politike antitotalitarizma od strane revizionistički raspoloženih nacionalnih političkih elita, i to neretko u svrhe dijametralno suprotne osnivačkim ciljevima Unije. Empirijsku potvrdu ove teze rad pruža kroz analizu slučaja Hrvatske, pokazujući kako hrvatske političke elite uspevaju da ovu politiku iskoriste ili kao legitimacijsku osnovu ili kao naknadno opravdanje domaćih revizionističkih tendencija koje idu u pravcu relativizacije hrvatske fašističke prošlosti.
